BASIC TRAINING INITIATIVE (BTI)
Phase Three - Primary Leadership Development Course (aka Leadership)

Task: Become and effective small group leader (Those wanting to live up to their Command Rank).

Conditions: Given an outfit, at least (5) to (10) outfit members, and Teamspeak.

Standards: Effectively organize (5) to (10) outfit members into a functional combat tool, representative of the Black Widow Company.

Prerequisite: Basic Training & Advanced Training (BTI Phase I, Phase II), CR1

A - Tools of the trade
1. Waypoint placement.
2. Use squad chat/ and Squad leader chat.
3. Map recon.
4. Teamspeak, a tool not a crutch.
5. Use Team Leaders and other Squad Leaders.
6. Rally Points.
7. Use /sitrep command

B - Chain of Command
1. Designate your #2 (by /tell).
2. Designate your whip (by /tell).
3. Default orders, make them clear.

C - Organization & Discipline
1. Maintain accountability - Drop them if they don't complie.
2. When in a Platoon control your squad.
3. Identify key members prior to mission, ie #3(medic), #4(Adv Hk).
4. Determine load out for squad.

D - Make a tentative plan (and stick to it-Don't be the World Police)
1. Attack/consolidate/prepare for counterattack.
2. Deploy defense-Prep for next mission or relinquish command.
3. Determine:
a) Action on the objective.
b) Action on unexpected enemy contact.
c) Action at the assault position.
d) Using special weapons/demo.
4. Offensive positioning/Defensive positioning.

E - Know Your Men
1. Age & understanding.
2. Learn to juggle ego's.

F - Know Yourself
1. Don't suck up to anyone...

G - Do's & Don'ts
1. Do ask for help.
2. Do listen to squad members (to a point).
3. Do require squad members to follow orders.
4. Do ask specific squad members for suggestions (by tell).
5. Do use Task Force personnel.
6. Don't allow squad members to make up their own missions.
7. Don't ask for ideas on squad/plt/outfit chat.
8. Don't be wishy washy.
9. Don't be timid/Don't belittle.
